Adrian Peterson isn't likely to play again this season for the Minnesota Vikings as an arbitrator ruled that the NFL can keep Peterson on the commissioner's exempt list. Peterson only played in one game this season and he wasn't required to serve jail time as he pleaded no contest to felony child abuse charges.

The Pittsburgh Steelers releaed backup running back LeGarrette Blount on Tuesday not even 24 hours after he left the field during Monday's night game as he was not happy about his limited role against the Titans. Blount signed a 2-year contract with Pittsburgh in the offseason and he had 266 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.

Billy Butler was a key part of the Kansas City Royals on their way to clinching the AL pennant last season, but now Butler will try and find the same success with the Oakland Athletics as he agreed on a 3-year/$30 million contract with the the team on Tuesday.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are once again the number 1 team in the polls as they were the top team in the week 13 college football playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday night after they had an impressive win against number 1 Mississippi State on Saturday. The Crimson Tide will be taking on FCS team Western Carolina this Saturday at 4:00 PM ET.

The San Antonio Spurs dynasty could be coming to an end very soon and they will make their only trip to Cleveland this season to take on the Cavaliers tonight at 7:00 PM ET. It easily could be a matchup of NBA finals contenders and it is also the first time LeBron James has faced San Antonio since the 2014 NBA finals with Miami last season.

Joel Hanrahan is going to be back to help the Detroit Tigers bullpen if needed as he agreed to a minor league contract with the team on Friday. Nathan has the opportunity to make $1 million in the 2015 season if he is able to make the major league roster.

Jonny Gomes is reported to have 6 clubs interested in him and the Cubs are reportedly one of those teams. However, don't expect Gomes to sign very soon as he is still in the early stages of which teams he is eyeing to sign on with.
